About Bird & Her Sanadora Sanctuary Co-Hosts
Bird Mejia
Bird Mejia comes from a lost lineage of curanderas, intuitives and shaman (naguals) from her indigenous Mexican ancestors. She is trained in Shakti Naam Yoga, Harmonyum Healing, Gendai Reiki Ho, Chakra Energy Healing, Shamanism and Breathwork & Meditation. Bird has earned two Master’s degrees and combines her graduate work in psychotherapy with her life experience and a variety of healing modalities to offer mentorship, guidance, healing opportunities and retreats.
Bird specializes in helping you discover your joy and your unique life purpose. She also is very passionate about helping you release ancestral trauma that may show up as heartbreak, drama, addiction, depression, toxic or broken relationships, narcissistic abuse, abandonment, anxiety, and disease. Bird is a mother, poet, cat whisperer and plant-based cook, and she loves desert nights, loons, cardinals & hummingbirds.
Enicia Fisher
Our Host, The Sanadora Team
California native Enicia Fisher loves sharing inspiring and transformational experiences with people through yoga, meditation, sacred ceremony, and time in nature. A lifelong educator, Enicia has a Master’s in Education and is a highly experienced certified yoga teacher (E-RYT 500 and YACEP with Yoga Alliance). She has practiced yoga since the year 2000 and has taught yoga since 2006 and founded Sanadora Yoga International Teacher Training School in 2018.
Enicia began leading retreats in California in 2012 and expanded to international retreats in Mexico beginning in 2015. After living in the jungle near Tulum for two years, she has lived in San Miguel de Allende since 2018, where she founded Sanadora Yoga International Teacher Training Program. Enicia leads Heart Alignment Yoga and "heartfulness" meditation with an emphasis on spiritual heart qualities and life-affirming yoga philosophy that inspires people to live with a deeper connection to their own heart and spirit. Enicia is a writer currently preparing her first book for publication.
Paloma Maciel
Medicine Woman and Ceremonial Guide
Paloma is a native of Michoacan, Mexico, a culture known for its curanderos (healers) and also the avocado capital of Mexico. She produces her own brand of honey called mielacate, which she often uses in her healing treatments.
Paloma has practiced energy work since she discovered her abilities at 9 years old. For 15 years she has been dedicated to studying many different massage techniques with great teachers, as well as other therapies that help well-being.
She is a single mother of two young kids and enjoys guitar, Qi Kung, Tai Chi, Samurai swords, photography and painting. She is also an avid poet and writer.
With each massage being completely unique to the individual receiving them, they are truly one of a kind. She caters to your intentions and needs, going through different phases of energy work, traditional medicine and physical massage work. Paloma creates an experience that will empower you to release, self- heal, and change your life for the better.
